Cat Deeley Keeps It ‘Real’
Cat Deeley has done well in the US, compared to her US conterparts she considers herself to be ‘real’ and more ‘natural’. Cat Deeley for those who don’t know found fame on the hit Saturday Morning TV Series SM:tv with the dynamic comedy pair Ant and Dec.
Cat Deeley decided to try her luck in the US after finishing the Stars In Thier Eyes series in 2006, she has hosted some other shows but as a guest presenter. She will now be seen hosting the UK version of So You Think You Can Dance which she has also been presenting for in the US.
In a recent interview for the Radio Times, Cat Deeley said “It’s a lot easier to get Americans to scream and shout and dance and clap. In Britain, it’s almost as if we’re ashamed of having ambition and drive.” She went on to say that ‘she feels the american hosts can be a bit ‘stepford’ but in a nice way.
Cat Deeley has been very successful with her style of presenting, she took over from Lauren Sánchez after the first series, and decided to communicate with the audience and the contestants in better way. Instead of presenting only in the live show and meeting the contestants there, she decided to go along for the journey like the contestants.
Deeley regards London her home, when she arrives and sees the famous landmarks such as St Paul’s and The Thames. In LA life is also good and she is never bothered as her neighbours are non other than Tom Cruise and Will Smith. Instead she relax after finishing the show and ride her horse without getting photographed everytime.
