ABOUT ME

Originally from Perth, Australia, Shane Collard, 24, studied ballet for three years then left at 18 after landing a role in the Moulin Rouge as a Can-Can soloist.

He then trained in New York but decided London was where he wanted to be.

Before the age of 9, gymnastics was his passion, when he moved to London he worked as an acrobat, aerialist and trapeze artist on a Caribbean cruise ship.

This gave him the stamina, physique and awareness he could apply to dance. It also made him fearless in what he does.

Shane owes his love for gymnastics and dance to his grandmother who took him to see his first show, even though she has passed away Shane feels her there with him when he performs.

He admires the show and the effect it has had on dancers, the dance community and their profession.
