ABOUT ME

Part Latino ballroom dancer, Stephanie Powell, chose her speciality at the age of 12 competing in Latin ballroom competitions until she was 16. She then took a break to complete her studies in dance genres.

Since then, the 27 year old from Poole has worked on Dirty Dancing, has played in Grease as Cha Cha and was the main dancer in Simply Ballroom in Las Vegas.

She has danced alongside Cheryl Cole. Stephanie also maintains her healthy lifestyle with yoga, going to the gym, even running a marathon in memory of a friend.

So You Think You Can Dance is seen as a challenge that will push Stephanie’s dance boundaries and broaden her experiences as she believes “a dancer never stops learning.”

She hopes to win the show to repay her parents for their efforts in supporting her career.
